Obituary for Gordon Robert Kremer

December 3, 1959 - July 5, 2015
California, Kentucky | Age 55

Gordon Robert Kremer ,55 of California , KY went home to walk with the Lord Sunday July 5, 2015. Gordy had worked as a Taxpayer Rep for the IRS in Covington, and was a member of St. Mary's Church in Alexandria. He was an avid supporter of youth sports and also loved the Red's and was also a Steeler's fan. But nobody was a bigger fan of his nephews and nieces then Uncle Gordy. When the kids were younger nothing was better than sitting around a tree and listening to the stories Gordy would make up, his favorite of course being the scary stories. As the kids got older he began to follow them everywhere he could, baseball fields, football fields and the basketball gyms, he loved watching sports and nothing was better than seeing his nephews and nieces playing. Gordy loved all his siblings, but was especially close with his brother Dan. After his injury Danny got down on his knees and prayed to God to save his brother Gordy , and if he did, he promised he would take care of him for the rest of his life. Dan and his family stayed true to his words the days, weeks,& months ahead, which turned into 38 years of unconditional love and a testament of dedication and family strength.
He leaves behind his brothers Dan (Sue) Kremer, Keith (Lisa) Kremer, Marty (Shauna) Kremer, Rick (Jodee) Kremer and a sister Kathy (Dan) Bertram, along with his 42 nieces and nephews.
A visitation will be held at Cooper Funeral Home in Alexandria on Thursday July 9, 2015 from 4-8pm.
